Reasons to experience the tejo tour
The origins of tejo date back to pre-Hispanic times, when the Muisca civilization inhabited the region now occupied by Bogotá and its neighboring municipalities. More than 600 years ago, in an exercise of aim and skill, the Muisca threw discs made of gold at boxes filled with clay: the more discs that landed in the center of the box, the higher the player's score.
The game was fortunate enough to survive the colonial era, and by the 20th century, it received an important addition: the use of gunpowder.
Today, tejo is recognized for its explosive nature: modern tejo fields are noisy places, not only due to the players' joy but also because of the sound of explosions generated by the contact between the disc (which is now made of steel) and the "mecha" containing the gunpowder. However, the general objective remains the same as it was centuries ago: to make the discs land as close to the center of the box as possible.

Cancellation and payment
- You can reserve your spot by paying from 15% of the total booking value.
- The remaining balance can be paid to the local guide in cash (COP or USD) or by credit card before starting the tour.
- You must present a copy of your passport to be exempt from the IVA (VAT) tax.
- The tour can be canceled at least 48 hours before the group's pick-up time. If not notified in advance, 30% of the total service value will be charged.
