Discover Bogotá's greatest cultural symbol
Standing at 3,152 meters (10,341 feet) above sea level, Monserrate Hill has become an integral part of the capital's history, drawing a large number of Colombian and international visitors who come for religious reasons or to enjoy the stunning panoramic views.
This iconic landmark, beloved by Bogotá's residents, is easily recognizable by the immaculate white church built at the summit, which can be seen from almost any point in the city. The church's interior houses the statue of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate, Bogotá's patron saint, attracting hundreds of thousands of pilgrims each year seeking spiritual solace.
Discover how this place became one of the city's most representative sites and how its history dates back to pre-Hispanic times.

Unforgettable tours and experiences from our customers
Discover what our clients have to say about their incredible tours through Bogotá and various cities in Colombia.
By the end of the week, I felt I'd made a new friend and was leaving a city I had fallen in love with. If and when we get to go back, I'll be asking Daniel to take us to more sites and share more of his favorite places with us. I can't adequately express how much his time and dedication to our trip meant to me. Absolutely wonderful tour guide.
