- Location: Teatro Colón Bogotá (Calle 10 # 5-32)
- Time: 7:00 p.m.
- Price: $30.000 - $70.000
The iconic work of Broadway premieres on the Teatro Colón. We present ‘A raisin in the sun’, an adaptation made for the first time in our country, from the original afro work of the American Lorraine Hansberry. This show was first presented to the public in 1959, starring Sidney Poitier, and received the New York Drama Critic’s Circle Award for the best play of that year.
It tells the story of the Younger family that in the midst of poverty, lack of opportunities and racial prejudices, have seen the passing of time blur their dreams. The work begins just at the moment when a turn of destiny seems to be in favor of the Younger. Finally, a possibility opens up so that each member of this family stops dilating their dreams. Now they will have to face the challenge of making prime the common good over the individual.
Under the direction of Juan Sebastián Aragón and starring Indhira Serrano, Bárbara Perea, Nina Caicedo, Mateo Giraldo and Ramsés Ramos, 'A raisin in the sun' is a totally afro montage that puts on the stage the importance of rediscovering our roots and take pride in who we are.
