BioPark Reserve Tour

The BioPark Reserve is the first park of wild species in Latin America in which the visitors, through a guided tour, share the same environment as the animals and plants under an immersion concept that has been developed in order to change the visitors behaviour and the approach in regards to the conservation of nature.

Imagine yourself walking through an amazing Andean rain forest of the Amazon, the floodplain forest or the wetland savannah of Bogotá; among trees, shrubs, flowers, waterfalls, birds and butterflies or iguanas and turtles walking along the very same path as you. This experience can be real with the BioPark Reserve Tour, a park that was designed under the concept of green architecture (green building), that allows you to feel a part of a conscious community and learn about how to live in harmony with nature, to realize how to make possible the existence of a world where nature and man live a sustainable existence together.

Wow. Super unique place. Mainly used Hansa Tour for the transport to here as I’d no idea how to get here myself. At first I thought the tour price was a bit high but the service I got was great and I actually learnt heaps about Colombia itself before we got to the park. I’m a nature person but unexpected knowledge is always welcome, Byron could tell me a lot about the history of Colombia which was truly fascinating and made the tour worth the money I was initially apprehensive to part with. The private transport really helps, I’d no idea on the route and as a single female here it added to my feelings of comfort and safety. I was picked up on time and communicated with regualrly during the booking process and leading up to my tour day.

Now the park itself, it wasn’t what I expected but it was super unique and interesting. Saw a lot of species I’d not heard of and the way the park is designed is quite something. The different habitat simulations that you can be immersed in makes it special and really appreciate the varying climates here. Coming from Aus I’ve experienced a lot of types of animal parks but nothing in the way of this one. I would highly recommend the company i really learnt a lot!
