Product Description

Join us in exploring the best of Bogota, you will travel to several neighbourhoods to soak up as much of this fascinating city as possible! If you’re looking for an all in one tour then look no further, famous must see spots in the city as well some different, unique areas not always visited. Take the opportunity to explore our city with us in this fun packed tour!

The city tour Bogota is designed to provide you with a variety of experiences starting with a typical Colombian breakfast at one of the most famous restaurants in the city. La Puerta Falsa has been delighting customers since 1816, located in the historic centre, the old town. This charming neighbourhood is the go to area for all the tourists who visit Bogota. Cobbled streets and colourful colonial architecture are the chief characteristics of La Candelaria. Wander the main plaza and learn about the important historical events that took place right here, amongst the steeples, spires and other beautifully designed buildings. One of the reasons this area is so popular is the street art. The graffiti here really is something, local and international artists alike are encouraged to leave their creative mark on the walls as you will certainly see. Our final stop in La Candelaria will be the tranquil gardens of the national musuem, a great photo opportunity.

Most tours stay in this area. However Bogota is much more than just one barrio (neighbourhood), our next stop takes us to the lesser known area of La Macarena (like the dance!) It’s a nearby beautiful area with a strong bohemian vibe, artisan colourful cafes and international niche restaurants line the streets, it is an area that attracts poets, musicians and the creatively inclined. The plaza de toros is situated in this neighbourhood, this arena is really beautifully constructed and often used to host events such as tennis matches. A short walk will bring us to the Parque Bicentenario. This pretty park is small enough for an enjoyable stroll before moving to the popular shopping and gastronomic centre of Bogota.

An express option is to end the tour after the park and be transferred in comfort to your hotel. However we’d highly recommend the lunch option as we will be taking you to a sought after spot in La Macarena or the famous Andres D.C in Zona Rosa! After this you will be free to explore the shopping districts of Zona Rosa and Zona T also renown for trendy bars and exclusive clubs. If you wish the final part of our journey will be a visit to Republica del Cacao to sample some authentic Colombian chocolate. A small presentation and chocolate tasting experience awaits you here, there are various unique chocolate infusions available, everything from mango and chocolate to chili and chocolate!

An interesting and varied day will be rounded off with your private transfer back to your hotel, during this whole tour our expert multilingual guide will be on hand to help and answer any questions you may have about our fascinating country.

    :

I had a 10 hour layover from Bogota to Rio. It only made sense to go out and explore the city a bit. I had booked a walking tour from Hansa Tours. I would have to say my tour guide Juan Carrillo is such an amazing guy. He also spoke great English as he spent some time in Chicago. I believe he may be half American. He took to the the Gold Museum, a local bakeshop to have some Colombian coffee and cheese bread, La Candelaria neighborhood, Cathedral Primal (the main church on Bolivar Plaza). We walked and talked about Bogota’s history. It was short but I had a good insight of the city’s history and culture. It’s very rich and interesting city to visit as a matter of fact. I will definitely go back and explore more if given the chance. Thank you Hansa Tours and Juan! You guys rock!
