On this tour, the historic center of La Candelaria will open the doors to the origins of Bogotá, at the current Chorro de Quevedo, which initially consisted of just 12 houses and a single entry and exit street. Over the centuries, those homes multiplied, and the city filled with churches preserving colonial essence in their frescoes, altars, and decorations. Streets formed over rivers defined early roadways, and the cool, rainy climate attracted English and French influence, bringing with them the aesthetic of balconies, roofs, and large windows.
