RoyMichael_GI had a great hike with Jaime. He’s a biologist by training, and it was great to talk to him during the hike, as it was just the two of us. The driver picked us both up at the hotel, and we drove a bit more than an hour, across Bogotá to the park entrance. It was great to see the different neighbourhoods and the driver really knew the roads well, so I always felt safe. In the park, we hiked up to a viewpoint, but it was all fog this day ?. Jaime knew some interesting shortcuts, with short climbs if you’re up for it (you can also go around). Then we hiked down into the valley, to have lunch. There is an option to take a car back, or hike back up. It’s a punchy climb of 2,5km and 500m of elevation, but it was a nice workout. Because it was just the two of us. We were able to get very close to some birds to take pictures. And obviously nice plants and trails to see too.
