Scottish Dance is scotland's leading contemporary dance company and one of the most important in Europe. It presents a show in which it fuses two choreographies of important European creators: TuTuMucky, by Botis Seva, and Ritualia, by Colette Sadler.
TuTuMucky is a powerful and complex choreography that explores the way people are shaped by the world around them. It erases the limits between ballet, contemporary dance and hip-hop, presenting a different and innovative dance style. It is a fresh and rhythmic journey in an original musical setting by Torben producer Lars Sylvest.
Ritualia, on the other hand, is a modern interpretation of the ballet Les noces, by Stravinsky and Nijinska, premiered in Paris in 1920. The Scottish choreographer Colette Sadler focuses on the subject of androgyny as a starting point. Ritualia is a visual festival that invites reflection through concepts such as hybrid, artificial and fashion.
